When you think of summer, what do you imagine?
Ocean, swimming pool, fireworks, festivals, Obon
There are many things, aren’t there?
I feel that summer in Japan has many unique cultural aspects.
Obon is one of them.
Families get together for meals and conversation.
In Mexico, there is an event similar to Obon called the Day of the Dead.
It is more festive than in Japan, and everyone seems to enjoy celebrating it together.
